High Density Switch for High Performance Computing
The 144-port InfiniBand high density modular switch is based on InfiniScaleIII third generation InfiniBand
switch device. Designed for the flexible deployment of high performance computing clusters (HPCC) and
InfiniBand enabled data centers, the chassis can support from 12to 144 10Gb/sec ports in a Constant Bi-
sectional Bandwidth (CBB) fat tree topology that provides full 10Gb/sec throughput and extremely low latency
between each port in the switch. The 144-port switch can be used in multi-tier fat tree configurations to support
cluster sizes with 1000s of nodes and beyond.

The Cisco SFS 7000P provides:

* Nonblocking cross-sectional bandwidth with less than 200 nanoseconds of port-to-port latency

The Cisco SFS 7000P offers the reliability, security, and control required for high-performance and utility computing. When combined with Cisco SFS 3000 Series multifabric server switches, the Cisco SFS 7000P facilitates shared pools of I/O resources that can be mapped together by Cisco VFrame Server Fabric Virtualization Software to deliver virtual "compute services."
